Bad news/Okay news

Well, we didn't get the house. I am...not happy about it. I think I am handling it pretty well though, aside from a few tears shed while sharing the bad news with Tyler. Our Realtor called me yesterday afternoon with the news. We have; even after putting in the offer on the Missouri Meadows house, still continued to look at other homes. We put in an offer this morning on this one:
The outside is nothing to write home about, but with a little elbow grease and some input from Dad (hint, hint!!) It could be nice. It's not as great as the other house, I don't love the layout downstairs, but it is 200 square feet bigger, which is nice. This house is near the 215 and Jones, just a few minutes south. So it is a good location, not great, but good. Hopefully we will find out soon about this one. There are a few other homes we've looked at that we are keeping on the back burner. I just hope we can find the right one for us sometime soon - I don't love the waiting and anticipation.

Holy Crap!

Tyler & I put in an offer on a house today. Whoa - we seriously just started looking and I can't believe that we are already ready to say "yes, we want to commit the next 5 or 6 years of our life to this home". But we do - and we are submitting the offer this afternoon. I don't know how soon we will hear back, but I really hope it is soon. I can't handle the waiting - I'm so excited and tense and nervous - what if they say no? Ah! I hope we hear back soon.

Hello, old friend

I know, I know it has been awhile. Christmas was wonderful (I don't have any pictures though), January came and went without any major changes. I have been getting sick about once a week - Tyler says it is due to stress. This last cold, which I am just now getting over, has lasted 4 whole days - ridiculous! Thanks mom and dad!

But my major news is this: Tyler and I are meeting with a real estate agent tonight to discuss our options of buying a home!!!! ahhh! I'm REALLY excited. Tyler and I have a pretty good idea of where we want to live, want we want to spend, what mortgage program we want to use, etc, etc...so this is really it. We'll meet tonight to get our ball rolling in the right direction. We want to move into a home anytime after June - so we'll be making an offer on a house sometime in May probably. So wish us luck and hopefully in a few months we'll be homeowners!!
